The most polarizing prospect in this year's draft. I don’t think it’s even debatable. It seems like most people like him. There were rumors that people in the NFL wanted him to change positions. Lamar Jackson himself said nobody has asked him to do that. That came after some comments from former general manager Bill Polian. In the video below I go in depth about Jackson and pocket presence, his ability to avoid sacks, going through progressions, and how he dealt with NFL concepts. I also went over what his biggest weakness is, and some of the things he does that impact his accuracy.
For example, the first thing people will point out is his “narrow base” and how his feet are too close to each other. The real issue is how he finishes, not his actual base. Jackson has plays where he’ll end up throwing on his tippy toes, throwing his weight distribution off, thus impacting his accuracy. Take a look:
