We saw the news yesterday that the team had re-signed Special Teams standout LB Nick Dzubnar and WR Geremy Davis. Both players are valuable to the team and it was a good move to bring them back.
Those moves look even better today.
Per ESPN Stats & Information, LB Nick Dzubnar signed a two-year, 3.05 M contract that includes a $795,000 signing bonus. WR Geremy Davis signed a one-year, $770,000 deal. https://t.co/uIJmerQu0m

Nick Dzubnar Chargers deal: $3.05M, $795K signing bonus, salaries $705K, $1.375M; $125K fifth day of 2019 league year roster bonus, up to $800K annual Pro Bowl, firs-team All-Pro incentive annual

Both of these deals are VERY team friendly. Dzubnar’s deal actually saves them money in year one over what it would have cost to tender him.
The Chargers have some cap space this offseason but the Chargers brought back 2 guys that provide valuable depth and a fantastic Special Teams player on very cap friendly deals. I know we all would like to see the team make a splash in free agency, and they still have time to do that, but bringing back contributors without breaking the bank is encouraging to see.
Fingers crossed that Chris McCain is next on the list of players to bring back.
