Danny Woodhead Is a Free Agent and at Least One Member of the Chargers Wants Him Back

Former Los Angeles Chargers running back Danny Woodhead has been released by the Baltimore Ravens and is now officially a free agent. Plenty of Chargers fans have already started calling for his return to Southern California. But fans that refuse to let go of the past are not the only ones hoping to see him back in lightning bolts. Linebacker Kyle Emanuel is out there on Twitter asking him to come back:

It was reported earlier that Dion Lewis might be a good fit for the Chargers in the “Danny Woodhead role,” but he has already landed with the Tennessee Titans. Well, you know who else is a logical fit for the “Danny Woodhead role”? Danny Woodhead himself. That makes a certain kind of sense, but the more you think about it the less likely it seems. Woodhead is still a very talented player, but he has been unable to consistently stay on the field and that is a problem that rarely improves with age. There are also more efficient ways to fill running back spots than by spending in free agency, especially with the quality of this year’s running back class in the draft.

What do you think? Should the Chargers bring back Danny Woodhead? Vote in the poll and let us know in the comments.
