According to Dolphins Draftnik Neal Driscoll, the Chargers are one of several teams linked to having been in talks with the Dolphins about possibly trading for the young right tackle, Ja’Wuan James.

Although not the most official of sources, it is not surprising to hear rumblings regarding James as the team has been looking to upgrade the RT spot for the last several years as 2017 starter Joe Barksdale continues to underwhelm.

In fact, it’s a common prediction that Barksdale will be one of the first cut following the start of the official free agency period.

I would personally support trading for James as it allows the team to check one more box off in terms of potential position targets within day one and two of the NFL Draft. James is only 25 years old and has been a multi-year starter for the Dolphins.

At 6’6 and 317 pounds, that is some stellar size to invest in an offensive line that is only getting better after a surprisingly efficient and effective year in 2017.
