Los Angeles Chargers: Three things that make LA the AFC favorites - Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Chargers went into Kansas City and came back from a 14-point deficit with only five minutes remaining to shock the Chiefs and keep the AFC West up for grabs. Head coach Anthony Lynn made the gutsy call to go for two and now the Chargers have the chance to finish 13-3 and win the AFC West.

Chargers can no longer be overlooked as Super Bowl contender - Minot Daily News
“This isn’t the same old Chargers,” safety Derwin James said after their third comeback win in the past four weeks. “We’re here to compete with anybody in this league and we showed it tonight.”

It was a similar story in the AFC: three teams had the chance to clinch postseason berths, but only one did. But right now, at the very least, the season is in jeopardy. The Chiefs could make a Super Bowl run from the wild card spot, but falling from the 1-seed to the 5-seed in two weeks would be devastating. Playing three road games to get to the Super Bowl instead of two home games would be heartbreaking.
