The Los Angeles Chargers are taking on the Seattle Seahawks today and now we know who won’t be suiting up for the game. The inactives have been released:
Our #LACvsSEA inactives:
— Los Angeles Chargers (@Chargers) November 4, 2018
S Rayshawn Jenkins
RB Detrez Newsome
DE Chris Landrum
C Cole Toner
T Trent Scott
G Forrest Lamp
DE Joey Bosa
Most notably, star running back Melvin Gordon is good to go after sitting two weeks ago against the Tennessee Titans. We have seen the Chargers offense without Gordon and it is far less creative and far less effective. His presence today ought to be significant as they face Pete Carroll’s defense.
Interestingly, on the defensive side Rayshawn Jenkins will not play. He is a healthy scratch as the Chargers have elected to go with six active cornerbacks instead of having access to the extra safety. It tells you something about what kind of game the Chargers are preparing for on defense. Winning this game will come down to stopping Russell Wilson and his receiving corps from being able to keep up with Philip Rivers and co. on the other side.
