REPORT: Melvin Gordon will play against the Cardinals

Expect to see #28 continue his streak of games with over 120 yards from scrimmage.

After some concerns about whether or not RB Melvin Gordon would sit against the Arizona Cardinals, the rumor has been put to rest following a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Gordon was a limited participant during Thursday and Friday’s due to some lingering knee and hamstring issues. It was noted that coaches wanted to rest him for “maintenance” in the same way he sat out the game in London against the Titans.

However, it looks like Gordon did a well-enough job to plead his case which means the fourth-year back will look suit-up against the Cardinals in order to help his team right the ship following their loss last Sunday to the Denver Broncos.

So far this season, Gordon is currently fifth in the NFL in rushing yards with 741 on 143 carries. His yards-per-carry average is currently on pace to set a career-high at 5.2 which would absolutely crush his career YPC of 3.8.
