Los Angeles Chargers superstar pass rusher Joey Bosa was a limited participant in this morning’s practice, per ESPN’s Eric Williams via Twitter:
Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said that Joey Bosa will get some reps in individual period today, so first time Bosa will practice since Week 1. Bosa has been out with a bruised left foot.

The third-year defender has been inactive all season following a foot injury he suffered in August during the preseason. Bosa will not play this week against the Denver Broncos and almost certainly will not suit up the following week against the Arizona Cardinals. There has to be, however, some sense of optimism that he might be ready to play limited snaps in December when the Chargers travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.
The Chargers this year are decidedly middle of the pack as a defense and mostly have their offense to thank for their success through the first 10 weeks of season. The addition of Bosa to that defensive unit would most likely catapult them into being a top-10 defense in the league. This is just one step in the process of Bosa returning to the field, but it’s an important first step.
