Chargers vs. Raiders will be a high-scoring classic - Jason Gilder
Through the first quarter of the season, the Chargers possess a modest 2-2 record, but producing on offense has not been a challenge for the Bolts. L.A. is averaging 27.8 points-per-game and 403.5 yards-per-game through four weeks, as both totals are ninth-highest in the NFL. The top-10 offensive output starts with the performance of quarterback Philip Rivers.

3 Chargers who need to step up in Week 5 against Oakland - Travis Wakeman
But for the Chargers to reach their goals this season, it will take a total team effort. It will take guys stepping up to help Rivers. It will take much better special teams play and it will take finding a way to get pressure on the quarterback, even without Joey Bosa on the field.

Junior Seau's children settle with NFL over 2012 suicide - Associated Press
The youngest of Seau's four children recently turned 18, family lawyer Steven Strauss said. Seau's older children include a daughter who works at ESPN and a son who plays lacrosse at Duke, Strauss said. Seau was 43 when he died six years ago.

Pint-size stadium has come with good and bad for Chargers fans - Eric Williams
"We're going to be one of the few people that are going to have this great memory of being in a smaller stadium -- you're really close, and there's not 100,000 people here," Neil Halbridge said. "And I think it's been really fun. It's been a neat experience."

NFL Week 5 CBS Oakland Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers Preview - PFF Preview Team
Running back Austin Ekeler is currently PFF’s highest-graded running back (91.2), and he is doing the majority of his damage in the passing game. Ekeler ranks first in yards per route run at 3.40 and is second in passer rating when targeted at 154.8.

Ranking all 32 wide receiving corps in the NFL through Week 4 - David Neumann
Keenan Allen is off to a slow (for him) start with a 71.4 overall grade that ranks 35th. On the bright side, Mike Williams looks to be taking a step forward in Year 2 of his career. The contested catch monster out of Clemson is showing those same skills now at the pro level, where he has the fourth-highest grade when targeted in tight coverage this season.

NFL Players of the Month - September 2018 - Sam Monson
Though Darius Leonard has had one phenomenal game and looked like he has plenty of potential, his tackle numbers do not tell the full story of a player that has given up a reception on 34 of 36 targets in coverage for almost 12 yards a catch within the Colts’ system. Derwin James, on the other hand, has been a monster for the Chargers, lining up all over the field and making plays in whatever role is asked of him. James has 10 total pressures and three sacks just as a blitzer, which ranks fifth amongst all rookies and is only six fewer than top five pick Bradley Chubb, a pass-rusher by trade!
