Los Angeles did just fine without Verrett, but they would surely benefit from anything he could add to an already strong secondary group moving forward after picking up his fifth-year option in 2017.

The kicker position might be the Chargers’ most pressing need. Had they had a competent kicker, they could have won a couple of close games and ended 2017 with a record of 11-5 instead of 9-7.
