There will inevitably be a lot of quality foods at any halfway decent Super Bowl party, but for my money, nothing beats a good buffalo chicken cheese dip. I still remember the first time I had it when one of my friends brought some to a Super Bowl party I was hosting. It is delicious and the prep time clocks in at less than five minutes, so that’s also a plus.
The recipe calls for:
- 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened
- 2 12-oz cans of chunk chicken, drained
- 1 package shredded cheddar cheese (approx. 2 cups)
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce
The process is simple. Turn your 2-quart slowcooker on high. Add the cream cheese to soften it some more. The add the chicken, ranch dressing and cheese. Stir that all together. Let it all start to melt together. Once it does, start adding the hot sauce starting with a cup then adding a half cup at a time to taste. Altogether, it should be ready to serve after about an hour at which point you can turn the slowcooker to warm.
