As General Manager Tom Telesco routinely notes, they evaluate every position every season. He did say the team knows Philip Rivers isn’t going to play another 10 years, and they do have to have a plan in place for life after him sooner or later. Still, number 17 is coming off one of his best seasons, and shows no sign of slowing down. We’ll all see what happens together in late April.

Western Kentucky quarterback Mike White received little of the quarterback attention during the week in Mobile but he was one of the star quarterbacks of the game. White looked crisp throwing to the intermediate and deep levels, completing both of his passes under pressure and looked to be in full command of the two-minute offense. White’s performance in the game will have NFL teams giving greater credence to his 2016 film than his 2017 film under the new coaching staff.

At 6-2 and 245 pounds, Nwosu has the versatility to create pressure off the edge, hold up as an edge defender in the running game or drop into coverage. During his final year with the Trojans, Nwosu recorded 75 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks, and had 13 pass knock downs as one of the defensive captains at USC.
