PODCAST: Comparing the 2016 & 2017 Chargers rosters

Have the Chargers gotten better on paper in the last year? Let’s compare the Week 1 depth charts to check.

Hello! You may have been wondering where I have been lately, or perhaps you were hoping that I had fallen to my death, and there’s a two-part story to why I haven’t posted here are BFTB in nearly a week...

  1. I’ve been really busy. Crazy busy. You’ll find out why very soon. I’ll have some news to announce early next week.
  2. I screwed up. I made a podcast on Tuesday that was not well-researched (I know, surprise surprise), and I ended up embarrassed by it, to be perfectly honest. I left it up because I felt I had to, but I didn’t want to do a BFTB post promoting it because I felt like it would’ve been a waste of your time and I didn’t want to drum up more attention for my mistake. I then spent most on Wednesday’s podcast addressing it, which was only useful if you had listened to Tuesday’s. Anyway, we’re past that now!

Here’s today’s podcast, in which I compare the rosters/depth charts of the 2017 Los Angeles Chargers and the 2016 San Diego Chargers to see if the team got any better on paper. Later, I tell part of Younghoe Koo’s inspirational life story and try to figure out how to manage all of these playmakers in the Chargers’ offense.
