The Los Angeles Chargers have decided to move on from linebacker Nick Dzubnar today as they waived him after claiming Hayes Pullard from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chargers announced the move via Twitter:

The third-year player is an inch shorter and listed at five pounds lighter than Dzubnar. He played in 24 games during his time with Jacksonville and apparently Gus Bradley is a fan because the Tom Telesco has elected to reunite them. Pullard was initially drafted out of USC in the 7th round by the Cleveland Browns of the 2015 NFL Draft but was released prior to the beginning of the regular season. Near the end of October of that year, he was signed to the Jaguars practice squad and he remained with the organization until he was waived this weekend.
Hopefully, Pullard’s athleticism and familiarity with Gus Bradley means this is a clear upgrade at the linebacker position for the Chargers.
