Melvin Gordon Surprises a Southern California High School Football Team

Los Angeles Chargers star running back Melvin Gordon joined with the Southern California Helpful Honda Dealers to surprise a local southern California high school football team and specifically their placekicker, the only girl on the team, Jennifer. This was part of an ongoing Random Acts of Helpfulness campaign by the Honda dealers.

The team performed drills and picked up some advice from Gordon while he was there. “The best advice I got,” said Jennifer at the end of practice, “is to have that confidence in myself to prove that I could be just as good as the boys.”

A visit from Gordon was not the end of it, however, as they also promised to help fix up and improve the team’s training facilities.
