Injury News: Chris Hairston added to the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list

Chris Hairston done for the year

The Chargers were thin at OT when the season started. They just got thinner.

First off, I hope everything is alright with Chris. Non-Football Illness doesn’t exactly sound great.

Hairston had already seen playing time, as starting RT Joe Barksdale is week to week with a foot injury. The team only has one other OT “available” in 6th round draft pick Sam Tevi, who is on the practice squad.

Tyler Marz has not been signed yet but according to the team, the plan is to sign him to the 53 man roster. Interesting that the team would rather have Marz, who only has 1 season on the Titans practice squad for experience, over bringing up Tevi who has played with the team all off season, and at times looked better than Hairston.

If either Joe Barksdale or Russell Okung go down, especially for an extended period of time, this team is going to be in a lot of trouble.
