Injury News: Joe Barksdale leaves in the 4th quarter.

In the 4th quarter Joe Barksdale went down with a left leg injury. He appeared to get bull rushed and fell onto his back, but then was slow to get up. The trainers helped him off the field and took him directly to the medical tent.

After he came out of the medical tent, reportedly receiving a treatment to his left foot, he prepared to re-enter the game. Something happened and his foot experienced more pain and they brought him back to the locker room.

Chris Hairston took his place at RT. It does not look like Barksdale will re-enter the game, however he did walk off the field under his own power with no noticeable limp.

The Chargers are already dangerously thin at OT so if Barksdale misses any extended amount of time, that will severely handicap this offense. Hopefully it’s a minor issue and Barksdale will only wind up missing a quarter.
