When the Los Angeles Chargers take the field for the first time this season tonight in Denver, they will do so without a handful of players.
Our #LACvsDEN inactives:
— #LACvsDEN (@Chargers) September 12, 2017
QB C. Jones
WR D. Inman
S D. McCoil
T S. Tevi
WR M. Williams
TE S. McGrath
DE J. Attaochu
The good news is that no starters will be out to start the game. Starting safety Tre Boston was listed as questionable on this weeks injury report, but he is out there to man the back end of the defense.
Mike Williams is, of course, inactive as he works his way back from an injury that's kept him out throughout the offseason workouts and preseason. Williams fellow receiver Dontrelle Inman also will not play against the Broncos. Earlier today the Chargers promoted WR Geremy Davis from the practice squad, and he will most likely play as the team's fourth receiver.
Cardale Jones will not suit up tonight either. This is rather unsurprising news. There is really no point in taking three QB’s into a game when Philip Rivers is leading your huddle.
Third string tackle Sam Tevi will be unavailable as well, leaving Chris Hairston as the lone replacement should anything happen to Russell Okung or Joe Barksdale.
That's it for this weeks inactives report. Enjoy the game!
