MNF Open Thread: New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings

Tonight the New Orleans Saints travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Saints will be without two of their bigger weapons from last year thanks to trading Brandin Cooks to the Patriots and Willie Snead getting a suspension. They do, however, have one particularly big name addition and he will be the story of the night, former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

It will be shocking if the Saints fail to do everything in their power to get Peterson into the end zone against his former team and it will be interesting to see how that affects the split of running back playing time with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara.

The Vikings will be attempting to replace the production (some of it, at least) with the addition of rookie Dalvin Cook. He, along with receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, will most likely be the focal points of the offense.

This is the first time these teams have played since 2014 when the Vikings lost on the road. Minnesota holds an 18-10 edge in the all-time head-to-head record.
