The Chargers have promoted WR Geremy Davis from the practice squad to the active roster a few hours before game time today. The corresponding move was to waive CB Jeff Richards.
We've signed WR Geremy Davis to the active roster from the practice squad.

This was a necessary move. The Chargers were carrying 5 WR’s on the roster, 1 of whom was already ruled out for the game, rookie Mike Williams. Out of the 4 other WR’s, Dontrelle Inman is still day to day.
The team probably felt as uncomfortable as most of the rest of us going into the game with only 3 healthy WRs, even with 3 healthy and dependable TEs available.
One thing that still confuses me is why Sean McGrath is still here. He is the 4th TE on the roster that now has only 4 CBs, one of whom has a very poor injury history. If he is inactive today I have some very serious questions about why he is still around.
