If you are going to watch any preseason football games, week three is the week to do it. You will actually get an extended look at the players who will still be starting games come week one of the regular season. Jason Verrett, for instance, will be making his first appearance in a game tonight against the Rams.
The so-called #FightForLA moves onto the actual field of play tonight as the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Rams at the Coliseum. We already saw the two teams compete a little during joint practices in which there were a series of fights that turned into near-brawls. It’s possible that this spills over into tonight’s game, but that does not seem terribly likely.
Week 3 of the preseason is the most interesting of the preseason games in that we typically get to see the first-teamers on the field longer than in the other three exhibitions. Here’s hoping that the Chargers can avoid the sort of injuries we saw the Patriots and Chiefs sustain this week.
