Optimism continues for 1st round pick, WR Mike Williams.
Sources: #Chargers eye an October debut for first-round pick WR Mike Williams as he returns from a herniated disc: https://t.co/q0XCmxRM2Z

According to Rapoport’s sources, things are looking good enough for Williams that the team is considering not having the WR on the PUP list to start the season, because the belief is that he can be on the field before week 7.
Williams started running on the side during practice last week, and according to the Chargers should start practicing fully in September.
This is good news for the Chargers. It would be better if this was Forrest Lamp, but if they can get another weapon early in the season to either help provide a boost, or replace an almost inevitable injury, you can’t really complain.
Hopefully things will continue progressing positively for Williams. We should all get confirmation on this after the next practice, as this question is sure to come up at the next press conference. Fingers crossed Rapoport’s sources are on the money here.
