I don’t care what anybody says, it was nice to finally see the Los Angeles Chargers players in uniform, playing the game of football. No more talk about stadiums and owners and relocation, at least not for three hours, just good ol’ fashioned football or something that passes for it for a while.
That being said, here were my quick takeaways from yesterday’s preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks that get fleshed out a bit in the podcast below:
- Chargers 1st Team looked good, depth is a problem
- None of the QBs behind Philip Rivers are worth a damn
- The defensive backfield stinks behind the starters, which becomes a bigger problem with Denzel Perryman’s injury
- Why the crowd at StubHub was so “small” for the team’s first L.A. preseason game
For those that are curious, my LASIK procedure went swimmingly! I plan on discussing it a little bit more on upcoming podcasts, but I’m waiting for my eyes to heal a bit before I get into it.
