Los Angeles Lakers great and future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant visited the Los Angeles Chargers today before their first day of Training Camp. It was first brought to everyone's attention by the Chargers official team twitter account:
First day of team activities in LA. Thanks to @kobebryant for swinging by #ChargersCamp! pic.twitter.com/8dMpqViWfk

Chargers players seemed to be big fans of getting to hear Kobe speak:
Just met the @kobebryant .appreciate your words of wisdom and answering my question on who is the best to ever play..we know it's you ♂️

Dexter McCoil was apparently already a big Kobe fan, but Trovon Reed became a convert today:
Officially just became a Kobe Bryant Fan. I respect everything that man STAND FOR... #Mamba

The Chargers are working to become more and more a part of Los Angeles. Having Kobe Bryant around the facility is certainly a step in the right direction when it comes to achieving that goal. It will be interesting to see what other prominent Los Angeles sports figures find their way to the Chargers facility in the near future. They do not come much bigger than Kobe, but this is a development that should be fun to follow.
What do you think about Kobe Bryant talking to the team? Do you think he offered anything useful?
