Why does Vegas think the Los Angeles Chargers got worse in the draft?

Despite what some of the experts think about the Chargers’ 2017 NFL Draft class, their Super Bowl odds got worse. Why?

The experts all agree that the Los Angeles Chargers had a great 2017 NFL Draft. Seriously! Mel Kiper gave them his highest grade of any team! NFL.com’s Power Rankings had the team jumping up three spots post-Draft.

The Chargers got better in the draft, right??

The team added some talented offensive linemen to protect Philip Rivers, and more weapons for him to throw to, while helping to try and patch up their defensive secondary.

So, then, explain this:

The Oakland Raiders added the most fun Running Back in the NFL today, dragging Marshawn Lynch out of Seattle and retirement just days before the 2017 NFL Draft. That alone improved the team’s chances to win the AFC West, win their two matchups against the Chargers this year, and win the Super Bowl. The NFL Network actually has Oakland as the 3rd best team in the league heading into Mini Camp.

All of those things hurt the Chargers’ chances to win Super Bowl 52, good draft or not.
