No question the key to all this is protecting Rivers, which last year’s offensive line decided wasn’t necessary. The GM Tommy/John tandem has cleaned the offensive line’s floor of stains and drafted accordingly. Few teams will have the weaponry Rivers has at his disposal. If they can get by the Big If — injuries — and if the O-line can at least be decent, they will be very hard to play.
