UDFA Younghoe Koo out of Georgia Southern was recently listed among Mel Kiper’s 25 Impact UDFAs.
In the article, Kiper had this to say about the young kicker:
“Koo, my third-ranked kicker, missed only one field goal at Georgia Southern in 2016. He’ll try to beat out Josh Lambo , who has converted 81.3 percent of his field goals in two seasons with the Chargers.”
Before the 2015 season, Lambo beat out long-time incumbent Nick Novak for field goal duties. Fast forward two years later and the Bolt’s kicking game isn’t anymore solidified. Most recently, Lambo missed a field goal in their game versus the Browns which would have tied the ballgame and possibly led to a victory instead of giving Cleveland fans their first and only win of the season.
Will Koo eventually send Lambo packing and make the final 53-man roster? OR will Lambo live to kick again in his first season in Los Angeles?
