Los Angeles Chargers' 2017 spreads for Weeks 1-16 - Ben Fawkes
Cantor Technology released the spreads for every NFL game in Weeks 1-16. Below are the lines for the Los Angeles Chargers' games. Week 17 is excluded because of high variance caused by potential playoff seeding, QBs sitting out the final week or playing partial games, etc.
A Twitter kicking sensation is in camp with the Chargers - Eric Williams
“I’ve always had competition for kickers and punters in camp because you can find that diamond in the rough,” Stewart said earlier this year. “I had a young man named Michael Husted years ago in Tampa. We drafted a young kicker (Daron Alcorn). We brought Michael in as a free agent and he ended up getting the job. So it’s always good to have competition.”
10 Centers The Saints Could Pursue - Zach Links
Slauson isn’t guaranteed to start this year thanks to the presence of Max Tuerk, Forrest Lamp, and Dan Feeney. All three players are rookies (Tuerk didn’t play in 2016 thanks to his knee injury) but the team is high on each of them. In theory, Slauson could be shifted over to guard with Tuerk starting in the middle, but it’s also possible that Feeney starts at right guard over him. Slauson would be a valuable swing reserve for Los Angeles, but the Bolts might also be willing to trade him thanks to their glut of O-Line options.
Extra Points: Bridgewater, Bolts, Colts - Sam Robinson
The Chargers experienced major injury issues at running back last season. In addition to Melvin Gordon failing to finish a season for the second time in as many years, injuries shelved Danny Woodhead, Branden Oliver and Dexter McCluster. Woodhead and McCluster are no longer with the Bolts, and the team did not use a draft pick on a back. Part of this equation involves the Bolts’ belief Andre Williams can be a viable Gordon backup.
Five Fun Facts about Drew Kaser - Hayley Elwood
“Ever since I was a little kid, I had the VHS boxed set at home. Now that I’m out here, I have them all on Blu-ray. I went to opening night for the last two movies and I hope to wait in line for the new one when it comes out as well.” As for his favorite film, Kaser is a purist. “You have to go originals. I think I like Episode IV and Episode VI the best.” His favorite character from those films is Han Solo.
