The full National Football League schedule will be released tonight, but for now, bits and pieces of it are leaking out. The most recent news comes from former Chargers beat writer (and now Raiders beat writer) Michael Gehlken via Twitter:
Raiders will spend New Year's Eve in Southern California, facing the Chargers on Dec. 31 at the StubHub Center in Carson, source said.

The Los Angeles Chargers will apparently close out their regular season against division rival Oakland Raiders (not yet of Las Vegas). Both teams expect to be competing for the division crown this year given that the Denver Broncos still lack an NFL-caliber quarterback and that the Kansas City Chiefs seem as likely as not to take a small step back. The Chargers and Raiders certainly have the best quarterback situations among the AFC West contenders.
What do you think about closing the season out against the Raiders? Will the Chargers be hoping to seal a division title or will they be playing for a moral victory in new head coach Anthony Lynn’s rookie campaign?
