"He played behind Slauson all last year, and Matt played very well. With Max coming off the ACL halfway through his college year, we knew it was going to be a bit of a slow process for him.

Dream Mock: Best-case scenario for Round 1 picks - Michael Renner
7. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State. There is a reason nearly every single mock draft puts this pair together. Gus Bradley’s defense commands a talented single-high safety, and Hooker is precisely that.

10 draft prospects we're higher on than most - Michael Renner
We’ve been pumping Barnett as the closest thing to Myles Garrett in this class for the last couple of years. The athleticism numbers are certainly concerning, but they aren’t devastatingly prohibitive—especially considering that the former Volunteer was still well above average in the 3-cone (6.96 seconds). Barnett led the entire FBS by a good margin with 37 combined sacks and hits last season. In each of the past two seasons, he’s actually graded out higher overall than Myles Garrett. Barnett is a special talent, just without special athleticism.
