Happy April Fools Day

We’ve heard buzz about Rivers despising the move to LA. Per a recent report, it’s starting to look like Danny Woodhead was not the only Charger that Eric Weddle is wooing to Baltimore.

A picture recently came to light of Philip Rivers catching up with the guy formerly above him on the depth chart.

This picture looks innocent enough—on first glance, that is. Brees and Rivers are both wearing dad shorts, the kids are smiling, and the weather looks great.

(Must be nice living somewhere else than New England. We’re gonna have snow on the ground until May...)

Anyway, there’s one key element of this picture you have missed: the jersey the younger Rivers is rocking.

That’s right. The Baltimore Ravens. Chargers East.

Whatever you want to call them, we all know the recent history between a current Ravens free safety and his former club. After becoming great friends with Danny Woodhead after just three years, Eric Weddle was able to convince the guy to pack up and move all the way across the country. It makes one wonder—how much influence does Weddle have over his best friend, Philip? Could Phil follow Woodhead in trading coasts?

With the recent news of the Chargers seriously pushing to take a quarterback early this year, it would come as no surprise for Rivers to stop by Tom Telesco’s office and demand a trade. In fact, the very move could be imminent, as Telesco and his staff prepare for the rapidly approaching draft.

And if you’re still reading this seriously, your first mistake was not checking the date.

Happy April Fools’ Day!
