As I am sure many of you remember, Chargers edge defender Melvin Ingram released a mixtape in June of 2015. Our own Garrett Sisti reviewed his work at the time. YPC Mel is back at it again with his new mixtape dropping in a couple days on March 10, 2017. It appears to be hilariously titled Franchise Tag:

The Chargers are reportedly working on an extension with Ingram and at least one of the other franchise-tagged pass-rushers in this year’s free agent class has already agreed to one (Chandler Jones has re-upped with the Arizona Cardinals as of this morning). It’s not out of the realm of possibility that they could have reached an agreement prior to Ingram’s announced release date. One has to wonder, will he hold off on negotiating until his mixtape drops?
