Here we go. The Chargers need some cap space and the cuts are rolling in today. D.J. Fluker was announced first, and now we have WR Stevie Johnson.
D.J. Fluker's release part of busy day for Chargers, who also are releasing WR Stevie Johnson, source said. Clears $3.5M in cash, cap space.

Free Agent beat writer Michael Gehlken still has his sources so he gives us the scoop that Stevie is also gone.
Stevie does indeed free up an additional $3.5 mil in cap space overall, and $1 mil in dead money.
The Chargers have some promising young WR’s like Tyrell Williams and the increasingly dependable Dontrelle Inman. Couple that with Stevie only playing in 10 games over his first 2 years with the Chargers, and it was time to let him go.
It was fun while it lasted. He was a boom or bust signing when he came to the Chargers from San Francisco, and unfortunately busted out due to some poor injury luck.
Stevie is another guy I wish all the best too, good luck going forward man.
