The Los Angeles Chargers this week officially announced that their available season tickets for their first season playing at StubHub Center in Carson, California were sold out. An NFL team selling out a 30,00-seat stadium in one of the largest cities in the United States of America is hardly surprising, but given that the team is new to the market and that their ticket prices were relatively high when compared to the other Los Angeles-area franchise, it’s still a positive that the Chargers were able to sell out just a couple months after they began taking deposits.
Compared to the Rams selling out a much larger season ticket allotment in about six hours, this is far from impressive. But the Rams actually have a history in Los Angeles and they had the advantage of being the only game in town after a 20-year period in which it was not possible to see NFL football in person.
