Ranking the top 15 edge prospects of 2017 - Michael Renner
The pass-rushers in the SEC last season kept a good number of quarterbacks up late on Friday nights. Lawson registered nine sacks, 13 hits, and 42 hurries in 2016 on only 364 pass-rushing snaps. Lawson wins the edge on offensive tackles as much as anyone in this class and makes them worry about getting out of their stance quickly with his first step. He pairs that up with some of the strongest hands I’ve seen in the class that keep him in control of interactions.
Five Things to Know about Kenjon Barner - Hayley Elwood
In addition to playing football, Barner was an accomplished track and field athlete at Oregon. His speed is a huge asset for the Chargers’ backfield. He holds Oregon’s single-game rushing record (321) and ranks third in school history in career rushing yards (3,623).
Chargers to meet with Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon - Eric Williams
"There ain't nothing to hide," Mixon told reporters at his pro day. "Everybody has seen everything. Everybody knows what's going on. At the end of the day, sit in front of them, look them in the eye, have them get a feel for me."
LB Manti Te'o agrees to two-year deal with Saints - Mike Triplett
If Te'o or Klein takes over as the starting middle linebacker and signal-caller, that will make five starters in that role for New Orleans in four years.
Minor NFL Transactions: 3/20/17 - Sam Robinson
The Chargers re-signed previously non-tendered defensive end Tenny Palepoi, according to a team announcement. Palepoi missed the entire 2015 season with a foot injury but returned to action in 2016. He had 13 tackles in 13 games but wound up missing the last three contests due to a PED suspension. He still has to finish out that ban by sitting out one game in 2017.
