We already knew where they were picking in Round 1, but where will the rest of the Chargers picks fall?

As John discussed yesterday, the Chargers did not receive any compensatory picks in this year’s draft, but 32 other picks were distributed and we now know the official draft order of the 2017 NFL Draft.

The Chargers are currently slated to pick at the following spots starting on April 27, 2017:
Round 1 – 7th Overall
Round 2 – 38th Overall
Round 3 – 71st Overall
Round 4 – 113th Overall
Round 5 – 151st Overall
Round 6 – 190th Overall
Round 7 – 225th Overall

Picking in the top 10 for the second consecutive year, the Chargers have to be hoping they can strike gold again like they did when they selected Ohio State edge defender Joey Bosa with the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. That will be tough to do, but when a team has as many holes and as few impact players as the Chargers, they will need to find a way if they hope to return to contention.
