Chargers position outlook: Scheme change benefits DE Joey Bosa - Eric Williams
Even with Bosa and Ingram doing work, the Chargers managed just 35 sacks in 2016 (tied for No. 14 in the league), including 10 in the fourth quarter (tied for No. 15 in the NFL). Liuget, the highest-paid player on the defensive line in 2016, finished without a sack for the first time in his six-year NFL career. Attaochu finished on injured reserve for the second time in three seasons. A second-round selection in the 2014 draft, Attaochu has just 10 career sacks in three seasons.

The Chargers uni makeover awards - Paul Lukas
Still, we received some very good entries. Before we look at them, here's a quick recap of what we asked for: All entries were supposed to include, at a minimum, a primary logo, complete home and road uniforms, and a patch to commemorate the team's inaugural season in Los Angeles. Readers were free to give the franchise a new name, if they liked, or to maintain the current name.

DC Gus Bradley Dishes on Bolts, 4-3 Scheme, Bosa and More - Ricky Henne
We believe in simplicity.  Now, simplicity doesn’t mean easy.  We just want to create a defense that allows players to come in here, play early and play fast.  So it’s play hard, play fast, play smart and play together.  Now, we have a lot of work to do to get to that point.  But that’s what we are hoping for.  That’s going to be our style. We’ve got some work to do before we get on the field for OTAs, but I’m really excited about how it’s all coming together.

Here are five key items on the checklist for the Chargers and new coach Anthony Lynn - Jack Wang
The Chargers are projected to have just less than $22 million in cap space, ahead of only six other NFL teams. They also have 13 players entering unrestricted free agency, including linebacker Melvin Ingram.

OC Ken Whisenhunt Opens Up About Lynn, Gordon, Rivers & More - Ricky Henne
Fortunately, some of the guys that were on the staff last year got to stay, and there is a lot to be said about continuity. I certainly give Anthony a lot of credit for doing that because we did have some good things happen last year with some of our young guys. Melvin Gordon stepped up, we had a good effort by Hunter Henry and obviously Tyrell (Williams) went over 1,000 yards, which is a pretty big accomplishment. As far as getting to know Anthony, he has been on a whirlwind tour so I haven’t really had a chance to see him.
