We all knew to expect some changes coming out of the bye week. It looks like the Chargers made those moves today.

The first move, we all knew was coming. LB Denzel Perryman was officially added to the active roster from the PUP list. In a corresponding move, LB Josh Keyes was released.
The next move was a bit of a surprise and a head scratcher. The Chargers brought back TE Jeff Cumberland and released OT Tyler Marz. As far as I’ve heard, there is nothing wrong with Antonio Gates, Hunter Henry, or Sean McGrath. The team also kept Sean Culkin on the active roster, so the Chargers now have 5 TEs on the active roster. Guess we will see if another move happens or if maybe this is part of some offensive scheme adjustment going forward.
The final move was that the team signed IOL Cole Toner to the practice squad. Toner was an Arizona Cardinals 5th round draft pick in 2016 and spent time on the Patriots PS as well. He fills the spot on the PS left from when the Cardinals signed Max Tuerk to their active roster earlier in the week.
