The Dallas Cowboys (5-5) play host to the Los Angeles Chargers (4-6) on Thanksgiving Day. The Chargers last played on Thanksgiving in 1969 as part of the AFL and have never played an NFL game on Thanksgiving since the merger.
The Chargers steamrolled the Buffalo Bills on Sunday and are now back in the playoff race in the weak AFC. They are only one game behind the Baltimore Ravens for the sixth playoff seed and if things go their way this weekend they could move into a tie for that spot.
The Cowboys are coming off back-to-back drubbings at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons. They are missing star running back Ezekiel Elliott but are getting offensive tackle Tyron Smith back from injury. They are, however, without the services linebacker Sean Lee. That might not sound that daunting, but the Cowboys allow nearly twice as many rushing yard and points when he is not active.
