The Los Angeles Chargers (1-4) travel to Oakland to take on division rival Oakland Raiders (2-3). Neither team is where they would have hoped to be five weeks in the 2017 NFL season. Both will be looking to get back on track with a win today. Derek Carr will be returning from injury today which has to fill Raiders fans with some degree of optimism. It also has to have Chargers pass rushers Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram extremely motivated to see just how ready the Raiders quarterback really is to be back on the field.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Chargers will get their first look at rookie first-round pick Mike Williams today. He has been dealing with a back injury since just after he was drafted and this will be his first opportunity to justify the faith the Chargers showed in him when they spent the 7th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to acquire his rights.
The Raiders are only 3-point favorites at home which means this game is largely viewed as an even one. Who do you think leaves with the W today?
