Gordon had complained that in the first few games this season he was not being given enough touches. Coaches responded by giving him the ball more in week 5 and he backed up his talk.
MG3 finished the game with 20 carries for 105 yards, the 4th 100 yard rushing game of his career, and 6 receptions for 58 yards and 2 TDs. Gordon made the most of all his touches and pretty strongly squashed the rumors that he is hurt.
The Chargers starting RB ran angry all game and showed very good strength and balance while running through arm tackles and completely bodying Giants CB Janoris Jenkins with a brutal stiff arm. It was good to see him breaking some tackles this week and extending runs.
MG3’s performance also has him in the running for the FedEx Ground player of the week, you can vote for him here.
