I know I usually only post my own podcasts, but today’s rant by Jim Rome about the San Diego Ch...EERRRRRR the Los Angeles Chargers was absolutely fantastic for all of the right reasons.
Rome nails it. Perhaps the most embarrassing part of the San Diego Chargers moving north to Carson, California is that the city and the L.A. Galaxy are not thrilled to have the Chargers joining them.
Even in a small city that, you would think would be rolling out the red carpet for an NFL team, the Chargers are still the second most popular and the second most important team in town.
Until 2019, the Chargers aren’t even “the new Clippers”. They are the Clippers of Carson, a city of fewer than 100,000 people!
Perhaps the Chargers decided to play in a stadium of fewer than 30,000 seats because they realized that was as many tickets as they would be able to sell outside of San Diego.
