The Los Angeles Chargers head coaching search has come to an end according to Benjamin Albright of Denver’s 104.7 FM.

The Chargers made headlines today announcing that they were moving to Los Angeles. Oddly enough, just a few hours later they have found themselves a new head coach in Anthony Lynn.

Lynn spent most of this last season as the Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator before taking over as the interim head coach for one week after the departure of Rex Ryan.

This move may come to as a surprise to some due to the fact that the Chargers have focused their head coaching search on candidates that specialize on the defensive side of the ball.

Lynn has a history of being able to improve a team’s running game. Last season with the Bills he was able to use LeSean McCoy as their workhorse and improve a struggling Bills offense.

In all likelihood, Lynn will look to do the same with Melvin Gordon and that will bring a new look to what has been a pass-heavy offense in the past.

Prior to his time in Buffalo, Lynn was a running backs coach with the Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, and Bills.
