REPORT: Joey Bosa dealing with “minor hamstring injury”

Guess it is a little more than tightness

NFL: San Diego Chargers Practice Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Judson Richards and Nick Hardwick on the 1360 morning show talked to Tom Telesco this morning and were able to get a little more information about Joey Bosa’s status.

Hamstring injuries are annoying. They tend to linger for weeks in some cases and are very sensitive. It’s good to see the Chargers are not trying to rush him back so that his leg can heal up and hopefully play most of the rest of the games this season, rather than rushing back for week 1 and possibly re-injuring himself.

It’s interesting that Telesco was willing to give ANY detail on the injury when tight lipped ball coach Mike McCoy yesterday said “only time will tell, because I sure won’t” when asked about Joey’s playing status and injury. Bosa doesn’t even have to be included on the injury report until after he is activated from his roster exempt status. Hopefully when TT says “minor” he really means minor and Bosa gets ready in time for week 2.
