It appears that Joey Bosa is not practicing once again this week while the rest of the team is in pads practicing. Combine this with the fact that he has not yet practiced in pads as a Charger, he will most likely miss Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
It appears all but certain Joey Bosa will miss Week 1. Not practicing today. If he played Sunday, would be his first time in pads as Charger

Since signing, Joey Bosa has been struggling with “tightness,” which master of words, Mike McCoy would not elaborate on. Even though Joey Bosa was working his tail off during the offseason and during the whole contract drama, there is no substitute for putting on pads and getting in game shape. Yes, it is a shame that Joey Bosa will most likely not be participating in the Charger’s week one matchup, but it is a good thing the brass isn’t forcing him in faster than he can handle. Darius Philon will be the starter in his absence.
[EDITOR’S NOTE: It would seem now there were clearly no winners in the contract standoff.]
