The San Diego Chargers have 9 more guys to waive or place on their Injured-Reserve list before 1p.m. (Pacific Time) today after waiving Cornerback Trevor Williams.
Chargers down to five CBs after waiving Trevor Williams: Jason Verrett, Brandon Flowers, Casey Hayward, Craig Mager, Steve Williams.

I’m going to be honest, I have no idea who Trevor Williams is or if he has done a single thing for the team this preseason. I was shocked to find a picture of him and the picture is mostly of him falling down kinda sorta in the background of the actual play that is happening.
This group is set and was set, barring a major injury that never happened. Assuming that Brandon Flowers is better this season (the stories about him being out of shape last season are both reassuring and concerning), the Cornerbacks should be one of the strengths of the 2016 San Diego Chargers.
Don’t expect anyone else from this group to get waived today. Steve Williams is probably the closest to the chopping block, and he’ll only be waived if the team finds a player they like better that has been waived by another team today.
