I already knew that the San Diego Chargers would be without Antonio Gates, Joey Bosa, and Jahleel Addae for their road game against the Indianapolis Colts today. However, I was left slightly dumbfounded when the list of inactives was released minutes ago...
Our #SDvsIND Inactives

LT King Dunlap
S Jahleel Addae
DE Joey Bosa
NT Ryan Carrethers
TE Antonio Gates
C Max Tuerk
ILB Joshua Perry
The Chargers will be without their starting Left Tackle in King Dunlap, and I don’t recall seeing his name on this week’s injury report. Nor do I remember hearing about him missing time in practice this week. This one is a bit of a headscratcher.
I assume this moes Joe Barksdale to LT for the game, with Christ Hairston sliding in as the starting RT. Hunter Henry obviously fills in for Antonio Gates, and Darius Philon continues filling in for injured rookie DE Joey Bosa.
According to the Chargers’ official depth chart, fans should expect to see a lot of Adrian Phillips at the Strong Safety position in place of Addae. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dexter McCoil, who was very impressive in the preseason, find his way on to the field early and often.
