It has been a long time coming, but the time is finally here.
Today is the day. Here on Sept. 21, rookie DE Joey Bosa in pads for first time as a Charger. His first practice since Aug. 30.

The Chargers #3 overall pick is finally practicing in pads. This is the 1st time Joey has been in full pads for the Chargers and is an important milestone towards him seeing his first game action.
By no means does this guarantee Bosa will play Sunday. It might be kind of a stretch to expect him to get in the game after only being in pads once. I’m not ruling it out, but I’m saying it’s still unlikely.
Even if he does get in the game, it will be very limited, and it definitely won’t be as a starter. I doubt he starts until week 6 or so, and still don’t think he see’s the field in game action until next week.
But all that aside this is good news. The Chargers need Bosa added to this front 7 if they want to start getting more pressure on the QB. So everyone can collectively do a tiny celebration dance because we are one huge step closer to seeing Joey Bosa on the field in a game for the Chargers.
