For the Chargers side of things, there are no surprises and the only inactive player you wish were on the active roster is still defensive end Joey Bosa. And while they may someday become major contributors, none of them were expected to be today:

S Adrian Phillips
RB Andre Williams
C Max Tuerk
T Tyreek Burwell
G-T Kenny Wiggins
NT Ryan Carrethers
DE Joey Bosa
The fact that Ryan Carrethers still can’t make the active roster even Damion Square suspended makes you wonder if he will even make it through the season on the 53-man roster.
Looking over to the Jacksonville Jaguars, you get some meaningful inactives:

QB Brandon Allen
CB Prince Amukamara
RB Chris Ivory
OL Chris Reed
WR Bryan Walters
DE Tyson Alualu
DE Chris Smith
Prince Amukamara’s absence will certainly be helpful for an offense that is still trying to figure out how to move the ball and score without superstar wide receiver Keenan Allen.
And on the other side of the ball, Chris Ivory is the only legitimate runner the Jaguars have. Yeldon and Robinson are decent enough options in the passing game, but not having to face Ivory will make the Chargers defense’s job much simpler.
