GM Tom Telesco: Chargers will replace Keenan Allen's production - Eric Williams
"It’s something we’re going to have to really look at, and it’s something that could evolve a lot as we move throughout the season," Telesco said. "And it may not just be at the receiver spot. It could be a tight end or a back and see how we’re going to put this thing together. But there is a way to win, and there’s still a way to move the ball without Keenan. It’s not going to be as easy, but we can still do it."

How to bet Jacksonville-San Diego - NFL Vegas Experts (insider)
The sharps are actually on the favored Chargers here as the line opened San Diego -2.5 and they pushed it to the key number of 3. The Chargers surprised a lot of people last week with the way they jumped all over the Chiefs. This line would certainly be over a field goal if WR Keenan Allen (knee) wasn't out.

Week 2 start/sit advice and matchups look - Dan Schneier
The Chargers’ run blocking has improved — due in most part to the health up front — but this is not a unit ready to move people. More importantly, Gordon’s role is in question heading into Week 2. He played just 23-of-73 snaps in Week 1 and saw action sparingly after Keenan Allen went down with a torn ACL. Philip Rivers trusts Danny Woodhead in the passing game more than any other active Charger not named Antonio Gates — he needs him on the field. Gordon’s Week 1 fantasy stat line looks nice on paper, but until the coaching staff commits to getting him more involved, he belongs on your bench.

Week 2 fantasy breakout candidates - Tyler Loechner
Williams won’t put up Keenan Allen-like numbers, but his 0.29 PPO in Week 1 ranked 24th overall, and it was tied for third among all wideouts who didn’t score a touchdown (tied with Stefon Diggs and Alshon Jeffery but behind Amari Cooper and Allen himself). This is an encouraging statistic, and should make you more confident in scooping Williams up off the waivers.

While Melvin Gordon had a great Week 1 outing, Woodhead ended up having more snaps and was consistently helping the offense. The Jaguars greatly improved their coverage and pass-rush over the offseason, but they didn’t gain as much in the run game. With Keenan Allen injured, San Diego’s rushing attack is now even more important, and while Gordon will continue to get several carries, Woodhead has earned a chance to see more attempts.
